We are working on LEED certification and design with passive solar that does not look passive solar. Employees are personally trained by Moore Brothers Construction and are carefully supervised. We can determine scheduling easier, can control the quality of the installed product much better.
Green Building
We use Green Building practices whenever possible. Green building means good design which takes advantage of natural lighting and passive solar heating, and has good ventilation and proper air flow. The design incorporates systems, products, and building materials which use energy and water efficiently and are durable, healthier, and easily produced. The end result is a comfortable and enjoyable new living space. What's more, a green-built space can cost you less to maintain without necessarily costing more to build.
We can advise you on green remodeling options available to you, and the costs and benefits as applied to your project. Luckily, these days green design choices and products are readily available and widely used. A few examples:
- New energy-efficient appliances.
- Improved fluorescent lighting.
- Efficient water heating, including tankless water heaters.
- Water-efficient plumbing fixtures that reduce the amount of water used in the kitchen, laundry, or bath.
- Healthier paints and finishes with low or no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can eliminate odors and possible health issues.
- Passive solar heat or solar photovoltaic power, where feasible for your project and site.
